Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
In short. Your data stays on your phone. If you turn on sync, a copy goes to your own Google Drive. We receive none of your data: no servers of our own, no account with us, no advertising, no analytics, no trackers. You can delete everything yourself, at any time.
Responsibility and contact
This policy covers the Over9 Android app, distributed on Google Play, and this website, over9fit.com.
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: the developer of Over9, at contact@over9fit.com.
What the app stores on your phone
- Your exercises, workouts and sessions: sets, weights, reps and other measurements, dates, notes, tags, and favorites.
- Pain you report: the affected area (a muscle or a joint), the date you report it and the date you clear it. This is health data: it stays under your control, just like everything else.
- Your progress photos, if you take any, and the images you add to your exercises.
- Your settings.
- If you sign in with Google: your account's name, email address, and profile photo link, to show who is signed in.
Everything is stored in the app's private storage on your phone. We have no access to it. If your phone's Google backup is on, Android includes this data in it, except progress photos.
The app uses the camera only when you take a photo: a progress photo, or an exercise image. It needs no other sensitive permission.
Syncing with your Google Drive (optional)
If you sign in with your Google account and allow Drive access, the app copies to your Drive, in a folder named Over9FitApp: your training data (including reported pain), your exercise images, your progress photos, and archives of their previous versions.
- The permission requested is
drive.file: the app sees and changes only the files it created itself. It has no access to the rest of your Drive. - Data travels directly between your phone and Google, encrypted in transit (HTTPS). It never goes through us.
- This copy is kept by Google under its own terms and privacy policy.
Your Google account data
- Access: through Sign in with Google, your name, email address, and profile photo link; through the
drive.fileDrive permission, only the files the app created. - Use: showing the signed-in account, and saving then reading back the copy of your data in your Drive. Nothing else: no advertising, no profiling, no sale, no training of artificial intelligence models.
- Storage: your name, email address, and profile photo link on your phone; your files in your Drive. The app stores no password.
- Sharing: none. This data never reaches us, and the app passes it to no one.
What we don't do
- No servers of our own, no account to create with us.
- No advertising.
- No analytics, audience measurement, or tracking tools, in the app or on this site.
- No selling, renting, or sharing of data.
Third-party services involved
- Google Play handles purchases, refunds, installation, and updates, under Google's privacy policy.
If you email us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you, and keep them for as long as it takes to handle your request.
This website
over9fit.com uses no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party content.
Retention and deletion
- On your phone: your data stays until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app, which erases it from your phone.
- In your phone's Google backup: kept by Google with the rest of that backup, under its own terms.
- In your Drive: as long as you keep it there. Delete the
Over9FitAppfolder to erase it, and remove the app's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
We hold no other data about you.
Security
Android isolates the app's data in its private storage. Exchanges with Google are encrypted. Access to your Drive goes through a Google permission you can withdraw at any time, and the app only sees its own files.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your information, its rectification, or its deletion at contact@over9fit.com, or lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. A significant change will also be announced in the app's release notes.
